Who Owns Spark? Spark Unlimited is one hundred percent employee owned. Why Are You Called Spark Unlimited? We arrived at the name Spark as it seemed to convey a few ideas: It can mean the Spark of Creativity. It can be that Spark that ignites a larger event as in the Spark that lights a flame. And it suggests an electrical activity - and for a technology driven game company that seemed like a nice thing, too. However, since the word Spark itself is a commonly used word, for incorporation reasons we had to add a second definition that we could register with the fine State of California.
