PC/IT Technician

The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform Windows (XP, Vista) based PC hardware support, troubleshooting and repair per company guidelines for the video games development department comprising 50 stations. This is hourly, full-time position with benefits.

Technician must be able to:

• Install and configure Windows development software.
• Install and configure Windows video hardware (AGP, PCIe).
• Install and configure Windows hard drives (IDE, SATA, USB).
• Investigate, diagnose, and repair PCs.
• Assist with the investigation and repair of network and server issues.
• Apply appropriate patches and updates to computer systems.
• Collect weekly backups for archiving.
• Maintain equipment and parts inventory.
• Retire legacy hardware for liquidation (scrubbing hard drives, removing unique hardware).
• Lift equipment; have physical mobility.
• Reside within 30 minutes of the Sherman Oaks studio for PC support emergencies.

Preferred Skills

• Extensive PC construction, troubleshooting and repair.
• Windows Office experience (Word, Excel).
• Organization and documentation skills.
• Windows XP and Vista application support.

Pluses

• Technician certifications.
• Windows Server experience.
• Scripting experience.
• Experience configuring consoles (Xbox 360, PS3).
